In the labyrinthine corridors of Esthetica, Minna was the first designer I came across as I embarked on London Fashion Week. And what a find she is. Her current collection is already well worth talking about with its whimsical, lacey summer dresses (the Talana is a favourite of mine) but her AW2010 line just blew me away.
Much darker and more grown up expect black and teal coloured dresses inspired by the day-time glamour of 40s Hollywood. There was a silky empire-waisted, floor-length gown that really stood out but my favourite – which I have been obsessing about ever since – was a brilliant black dress with white collar and cuffs – oh so Joan Crawford.
