Architect Zaha Hadid is the latest creative to design a shoe for my all time favourite plastic shoe brand, Melissa. Her £200 special edition is as sculptural and moulded as her buildings. And as exclusive – the shoes are only available at Dover Street Market.

I am up in Manchester for work and bored to death in my hotel room. Those fools have unleashed me onto an imac entertainment system. You all know what this means: endless pictures of myself taken by the mac photo booth. I am intrigued that I look best in comic mode. I should just move into a parallel Marvel universe.

I really like the a/w 08 collection by Turkish born, London-based designer Bora Aksu. I first heard of him because of the capsule collection he designs for ethical label People Tree.
What stands out to me in his a/w collection is the mix of ruffles, bows, chiffon and edgier, harder fabrics such as leather. It’s feminine, sexy but not sweet.

If you fancy a bit of celeb mingling and a cat walk show including one off ethical designs by Vivienne Westwood, Allegra Hicks, Zandra Rhodes, Preen, Todd Lynn, Jonathan Saunders, Aimee McWilliams and others then you’ll need to head down to the RE:Fashion awards taking place at Shoreditch Town Hall on November 13.
Has the credit crunch caught up with you and the £37.50 price tag per ticket is a bit too much? No need to worry! Just head over to www.greenmystyle.com and enter their lucky dip to win two tickets. Good luck!

I absolutely adore US born, UK based designer Alexandra Groover. Her Black Label and Grey Label collections of little black dresses, tops and trousers are both architectural and structural as well as feminine and ultimately extremely flattering. Her simple designs are visually stunning both in stasis and in movement.
I love her Grey Label ephyrae dress, which was inspired by jelly fish.

I religiously follow Fifi Lapin’s lovely rabbit illustrations detailing ready to wear runway outfits. Who would have thought that Chanel would look great with a pair of bunny ears?
