I need this (lie), I want this (true!), I must have it (lie). I am off to Topshop (if my boss isn’t looking).

How lovely is this Doucette Duval Beatrice dress? It’s made of original, rescued 1960s fabric but comes with a hefty £220 price tag. Outch!

L’ecole Des Femmes new collection is amazing. Period. I love the Minnie Mouse ears, prom dresses and skinny tie look.
And how could I possibly not be impressed by a label which was founded in a haze of smoke?
“School of Women is a brand new girls’ line based out of L.A. but originally conceived in the back seat of a black convertible spider in 1962 by Georgette Malbesee and Jean Pierre Lachemescouilles through the cold smoke of a pair of unfiltered cigarettes.”

When roaming around Covent Garden this weekend, I came across Miss Lala’s Boudoir. They stock some fantastic retro lingerie (all frills and bows), vintage inspired designer clothes and accessories (I fell in love with this amazing little heart print scraf). I could have spent a fortune in there, and had to be virtually dragged out by my friends.
To my delight, they stock one of my all time favourite swimwear labels, Pistol Panties. Their bikinis are flattering, quirky and glamourous, just perfect for my very own version of ‘Girl of Ipanema’. Ok, Ubatuba more likely…

This is love at first sight. I am just amazed by NYC based label Beckerman and their fantastic s/s 09 collection. Entitled ‘Shake’ Rattle and Roll’, the collection is inspired by 50s Doo-Woop, music in general, motels and American summers. This is exactly what I want to wear!

I keep on forgetting about Asos. And I really shouldn’t. The PPQ stuff they stock is reason alone for regular visits.

Street artists Dolk and Pøbel have brought urban culture to the sleepy villages and woods of rural Norway. Their new project ‘Ghetto Spedalsk’ has turned old barns and houses into canvases for their edgy pieces:
Batman and Robin as pensioners, Superman on a saline trip.
