The other day I did indeed run off to Oxford Street after work to by some red tights. I wore them with a black dress, just like the girl in the picture I found.

red tights: American Apparel

The most boring outfit can look interesting with the right kind of jewellery. I am always on the look for new pieces that I like. I like my necklaces and earrings to be almost like theatrical props. If jewellery makes me smile, if it’s slightly different and twisted, then it’s just about perfect.
That’s why I like German designer Sabrina Dehoff. Her pieces are pretty, girly and just a bit theatrical.

…but I am actually quite excited about the start of Gossip Girl on ITV2 tonight. There aren’t many series that I watch or have watched but I this time I am intrigued, and it’s all down to the wardrobe of gossip girl Blair. Bows! Headbands! Sweet little dresses! Tartan! Ever since I have seen outtakes of the show, I have been fantasizing about red tights and ribbons. So even if it turns out to be the most rubbish thing on TV, I will be watching with the sound turned off.

When browsing on the web I found this picture of a girl wearing red tights with a black dress. I love it, off to Topshop after work then, MUST buy red tights!

I really like retro, 1950s pin-up lingerie. To me, it’s so much sexier than any of the modern day underwear, strings and all. Agathe from Style Bytes recently posted some lovely vintage underwear she found. I normally shop for underwear on the highstreet and especially Topshop do nice, vintage looking sets of bras and knickers. If I was rich, I’d head to Agent Provocateur…However I also really like Pandoraschoice, who do fantastic pin-up style underwear and stockings.

I demand sunshine! I am so tired of the rain and cold, I really want to wear frilly flower dresses and sandals. Sigh. Instead I am channelling my inner goth in monochrome.

I have been staring at these two jumpers from forever21 for ages. Should I, should I not, should I…

Some of my colleagues at work got all excited about the new Banana Republic flagship store that’s opened on Regent Street. Ok. Now the sort of ‘wardrobe staples’ you can buy there aren’t really my kind of thing. Too functional, too impersonal, too ‘I work in the City’ for my quirky girliness. So not surprisingly I didn’t find much I liked in their current collection. However, the two things that did catch my eye, a polka dot skirt and classic knit dress are now very much on my wish list.

I don’t know why, but all of a sudden I have this enormous desire to wear a hat. A black hat. I am bidding on these two on Ebay.
